About Hannah

A specialist with puppies, herding breeds (particularly collies and shelties) reactive and anxious dogs

Hi I'm Hannah McMillan, the owner and founder of Fox N Fables Dog Training. Here I am pictured with my three dogs; Io, Bigby and Fsmo. I am a dog trainer in Tidworth, Wiltshire and spend my days with my dogs, who are my absolute world. I am a massive lover of all animals, previously I have enjoyed such careers with the UK's largest horse/donkey sanctuary, dog kennels and I have even worked as a horse riding instructor. I have grown up with dogs but it was obtaining Io back in 2013 at 7 weeks of age that I really got interested in all things canine! I regularly attend courses and seminars with some of the world's most top dog trainers and behaviourists so I can continue to build up my skills and knowledge - I only want to give the best quality to my training clients.

I can relate alot to owners of dogs that are reactive, because I own one myself. I entirely understand how frustrating, embarrassing, upsetting it can be but I also understand just how your dog might be feeling. I can really help you and your reactive dog have a much happier and less stressful life.

About IO

Io ‘fox’ is a 7 year old Rottweiler crossbreed. Io was my first dog that I bought since leaving home and she came to live with me in September 2013. In the past we have done fun agility, scentwork, both KC and TD RALLY and fun dog shows. Nowadays she is trained to do numerous tricks and also enjoys canine parkour. Io is trained using fun and reward-based methods.

About Bigby

Bigby ‘fable’ is my 5 year old Smooth Collie. The Smooth Collie is one of the UK’s vulnerable dog breeds and for reasons I do not know as they’re a fantastic breed. I have learnt a lot from Bigby due to his lead reactiveness as a frustrated greeter and feel it has made me a more knowledgeable dog owner. Knowledge is key when owning or being around a reactive dog. He enjoys nothing more than snoozing on the sofa but he also enjoys working for food and he has been a real learning curve to how different teaching individual dogs can be.

About Fsmo

Fsmo is my 3 year old Shetland Sheepdog. Fsmo is trained with all aspects of agility and is absolutely loving it. Both his parents are very successful in agility competitions, so I am hopeful that Fsmo will be a great agility dog. He has also shown a keen interest in learning new tricks and has already earnt several titles and we hope to gain more in the future.
